Meeting future employees at the MoU’s & MCAST’s Freshers Week

October, 10, 2019

The Planning Authority has once again participated in the UoM’s Freshers’ Week as well as the MCAST’s, which mark the new academic year of their respective students.

During both Freshers’ Weeks, held on two different weeks between the 30th of September and the 11th of October, the Planning Authority has stressed the importance of work-related measures, and how the students can aim at a career which fosters a better work-life balance.

The Students who visited our stand have expressed their satisfaction to learn that there are existing companies who are aware that the upcoming generation of job seekers have different demands and expectations to what was accustomed until a few years ago.

The Planning Authority has over the past years, been working strategically on building our employer brand and strengthening the reputation as an employer.  The Planning Authority not only ensures that the existing quality talent is retained but also wants to attract the best talent available in the marketplace.   Amongst the number of advantageous measures that contribute towards a better work-life balance the Planning Authority has already introduced Flexible Hours, Hot Desking, Teleworking, Succession Planning, Employees Training, and a Green Travelling Plan which gives our employees an incentive to cycle, walk or use a motorbike to travel to work.

Our representatives on the stand provided information and offered an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions about our participation and internship opportunities.  Apart from distributing promotional material and freebies which gave a good kick start to their new academic year!
